17 May 2019 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 72-8778
Q. Forgive me, I know this isn't a support forum but I'm used to common cathode classic RGB LED's... Looking at the datasheet on this it would seem pins 1-3 are ground and the other three pins are the anodes for the three colours... is this right? I simply cannot get any light out of it however I wire it!?
A. Hi Helen, thank you for your question. In effect 4,5,6 would be positive and 1,2,3 would be cathode but each of the colours require a different forward voltage: blue 3.3; hyper red 1.9; green 3.3 as stated in the data sheet.
