Q. does the blade lockout or the does is retract if you let go of the handle

Q. Is the entire handle metal

A. Hi Kevin, thank you for your question. The 2806 is the handle and mechanism only (no blade supplied) and the handle is made of metal, the white retractable part is plastic.
