Italian born graphic designer and visual artist Andrea Visconti works at the cutting edge of contemporary print making. Inspired by 80s Neo Expressionism, early graffiti art and contemporary street art scenes, Visconti draws these different styles together, using digital techniques to create his own, unique aesthetic. His work explores the relationship between humans and technology, as well as changing perceptions of reality, for an artistic practice that is both visually compelling and powerfully thought provoking. ‘Ancient Times’ is a meeting of past and present turning to classical sculpture, Visconti takes a traditional bust and recreates it though digital processes. The final result is striking an ancient sculpture, crafted form computerised shapes, which explode outwards in spiky shards to create an incredible sense of dynamism. An image like no other, Visconti shows us how modern day technology might interact with the masters of antiquity to create stunning new aesthetics.
