This is a new numbered limited edition giclee print on 310gms thick, 100% cotton rag paper of a 1936 watercolour by Eric Ravilious. The wagons are Fever Wagons used first in the Boer War, or possibly even earlier in the Crimean War. These two were parked at the chalk pits near Peggy Angus’s house ‘Furlongs’ near Newhaven, Sussex where Ravilious stayed. He purchased the two vans in this painting and made one into a bedroom and the other into a studio.
