Elvis 2 Times, 1963 is a museum quality art print of an original silkscreen by American pop artist Andy Warhol. Elvis is one of a whole series of celebrities captured by Andy Warhol in his iconic silkscreen prints. This image of Elvis Presley is believed to be from a publicity still for the Western film Flaming Star 1960. Here Warhol uses the silkscreen to overlap and superimpose the same image one on top of the other. The image could be seen as symbolising Elvis’s double role as a singer as well as a film star. The background is silver with the two images of Elvis pointing a gun at the viewer in black. Image Credit ©®TM The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Inc.
