The bright red hearts in this piece contrast gorgeously with this black and white montage of beautiful naked ladies. Cassandra Yap says of this piece “The heart symbol, one of the oldest in the world has always been taken to represent pure, romantic love. This work aims to challenge preconceptions of this universal symbol by juxtaposing hearts with highly erotic, lascivious imagery. Here, hearts are used to censor erotic images of naked women and somewhat ironically, the heart shape itself mirrors the female curves. Eroticism is indeed heart shaped.”
