This print was made to accompany the Saatchi Gallery’s exhibition ‘Newspeak British Art Now’ and is a signed limited edition of 200. Reigate’s young dynamic brand of contemporary pop art combines simplistic linear cartoon motifs, that whilst full of fun and energy on the surface can be disturbing on closer inspection. nbspIn this piece a cartoon rabbit in the centre of the composition appears to be hanging from a bunch of balloons. Reigate is commenting perhaps on the perceived greed of the contemporary art bubble, on art as a money making commodity. One of the central cartoon characters has its mouth blacked out, perhaps suggesting the stifling of creativity, the gagging of artistic freedom, or the power of art to deceive.Click these words to find similar printsSilk Screen Prints Limited Edition Contemporary Art Pop Art Comic Book Artnbsp
