‘It Is My Heartfelt Desire To Improve But I Never Do’ is a 19 colour silkscreen with hand routed elements and laser cutting, and is High Floated in a custom John Jones frame. This beautifully detailed horses head faces right on a multi layered spotted background, with a floral pattern at the bottom. William Kingett, the printer who worked alongside Baker to create this incredible piece said “Baker draws directly onto film using brushes and pens which we then silkscreened as layers” This piece is then printed on 6mm Birch ply, the wood grain adding a wonderful layer of depth, and works well with the hand painted acetates used to create this incredible print.
