This is a museum quality art print based on an original work about Knives by Pop Artist Andy Warhol. In the 1980’s Warhol produced a series of works featuring Knives a continuation of the ongoing theme of the macabre that has fun through all his works. Working with Polaroid photographs of household kitchen knives he created a series of both positive and negative silkscreen images. These images are both a celebration of the object as well as carrying ominous undertones of the danger of the object and the violence that can be involved in. This is a negative image of black knives on a red background. Image Credit ©®TM The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Inc.
