Founded in 1956, by Francisco's family, he decided to resign his job as History professor in a college after a dissertation about Treixadura and vinegrowing history in Ribeiro and come back to his roots. He was the first to make a wines made entirely from the indigenous grape variety Treixadure with indigenous yeasts. The estate has vines covering 8 hectares which are spread over more than 35 plots. The vines are about 70 years old, all on the steep hills next to the Miño river. Vines are planted in pergolas using the traditional granite poles, or in a high trellis system. In this way, bunches are well aerated and keep healthy.
