‘Lovers’ forms part of a series of 8 Polymer Gravure prints. A Polymer Gravure is a print impression taken from an etching plate that has been made by photo processing in which the artist hand draws or takes a photographic image and prints onto acetate either photographically or digitally using a computer. Prints made using this process can sometimes been seen described as ‘Intaglio type’ non etched or ‘Photo polymer Etching’ etched’. The works of Lady Catunda are rich in texture and intense in colour and go between the languages of painting, sculpture and popular culture. ‘Lovers’ is signed, titled and dated by the artist on the front and numbered on the back.
