Lyrical, 1911 is a high quality giclee print of and original woodcut by Wassily Kandinsky. Lyrical is a woodcut illustration from Kandinsky's self described musical album, Klänge Sounds which contained 38 prose poems and fifty six woodcuts. Each of these woodcuts became more abstract although you can still see the form of the rider on his horse in the lyrical lines of this particular work. . Kandinsky sought a synthesis of the arts, in which meaning was created through the interaction of, and space between, text and image, sound and meaning, mark and blank space.
