Sourced from several vineyards in Marlborough's Southern Valleys, whose clay soils promote the growth of small bunches of small berries, and thus intensely flavoured Pinot Noir. Portions of the wine are aged in French oak barriques before blending with unoaked wine. Rich garnet core with a purplish rim. Aromas of ripe black cherries and currants, with a lifted raspberry note and a hint of vanilla. Fine tannins, medium palate weight, and good fruit concentration. Can be cellared for up to 5 years. Enjoy with cutlets of smoked lamb.
