The Birth of Venus Nascita di Venere is a high quality giclee print of the original oil painting by Sandro Botticelli. The painting depicts the roman goddess Venus emerging from the sea in a shell. She is attended by a lady on the shore who is offering her a cloak and blown by a zephyr on the left. It has been suggested Sandro Botticelli was commission to product the painting by the Medici family a power house behind the creation of Renaissance art in Italy. You can see the original at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy.
