Storm Thorgerson is renowned in the music world for creating iconic cover art for rock and roll greats. From Pink Floyd to Paul McCartney, Thorgerson has been behind some of the most well known and well loved album artworks, shaping the aesthetic of the music industry since the late 1960s. This recent series of limited editions brings his images back to life as archival inkjet prints, each one in beautiful, never before seen, clarity. ‘Tree Of Half Life Pink Floyd’ features original photography from the Pink Floyd archive. Though never an album cover, the image appeared on band T Shirts and featured as the frontispiece for the Floyd imagery book ‘Mind Over Matter’. A striking piece of photography, the print depicts a tree, masterfully transformed into a head with the skilful art of topiary. The image is hazy and beautiful, full of symbolic meaning and profound conceptual power a must have for the Floyd fan, the retro music collector, and anyone with a keen eye for the iconic.
