In a channel 4 documentary Perry described the astounding temple like home as ‘pleasure, decorative and hilarious’. Grayson perry is an Turner Prize award winning English artist, mostly known for his ceramic vases in classical forms and decorated in bright colours depicting subjects at odds with their attractive appearance. This piece is from Perry’s collection ‘Six Snapshots of Julie’ following on from the artists ‘A House for Essex – a monumental shrine to the fictional character Julie May. This piece is signed and numbered on the reverse of the piece.
