With some recent tough vintages under his belt, the learning curve just levelled out a bit, allowing Dominique Lafon to produce some outstanding Mâcons in 2014. Organic production, astute barrel selection and uncompromising attention to detail have propelled Lafons wines to the forefront of the appellation. Keep these whites for 12 months, at which point the citrus and mineral characteristics that separate top quality Mâcon from the pack, will start to emerge, and the wait will have been well worth the while.
