This brilliant limited edition print by Cosmo Sarson is a continuation on his ‘Breakdancing Jesus’ motif, and is available in 6 separate editions of only 15, in 6 different colourways. This ‘Candy Blue’ edition features bluey purple clouds, beautifully contrasting with a cold pale blue colour as a backdrop to an incredible photo realist image of Jesus, twisted into an incredible breakdancing move. This image is then hand finished by the artist in gold leaf. Talking on this piece Sarson says “The idea of Breakdancing Jesus came from an old newspaper cutting I cut out and kept in the back of my wallet for years before I finally got round to painting the thing. It has inspired a number of drawings and paintings…It's based on an actual event when a Polish youth group breakdanced for Pope John Paul II in the Vatican.”
