Composition IV, 1911 is a high quality giclee print of an original painting by Wassily Kandinsky. Composition IV, 1911 is over 2 meters long and is now held by Kunstsammlung Nordrhein Westfalen at Düsseldorf. It is at the beginning of Kandinsky’s abstraction where the shapes and colours are more important than the forms but some elements can still be seen. In the top left are two Cossacks on horseback and in the centre there are three more figurative forms in red Cossack hats with two lances.
