The work of contemporary artist TRXTR explores the darker side of human nature with powerfully seductive style. Using a mixed media approach, applying layer after layer of collage, photography and paint elements, TRXTR’s prints are mesmerising, thought provoking and poignant. ‘Dying to Huff’ portrays a beautiful young woman lounging seductively, her head adorned with Mickey Mouse ears. The style is fragmented and chaotic the woman’s body is strangely dislocated, while the background melts away into shards of pattern, texture and colour. Yet TRXTR’s depiction hints at a darker undertone, blending youthful innocence with sordid sexuality for a gritty comment on the social and moral concerns of modern life.
