FiiO AM5 High Powered Headphone Amplifier Module for FiiO X7 The new AM5 amplifier for the FiiO X7 is a replaceableupgraded amplifier unit that you can use to change the sound quality of your FiiO X7 and is designed to power the more power hungry headphones out there perfect for those with headphones with high impedance. The AM5 uses the MUSES02 by MUSES the audiophile semiconductor division of the New Janpan Radio Co. Ltd. for voltage amplification like the AM2. With the TPA6120A2 a current feedback differential input high fidelity headphone amplifier integrated circuit usually applied on desktop device by Texas Instruments as the headphone amplifier chip to achieve lower distortion higher bandwidth and a higher slew rate. In combination with our setup it effectively lowers the output impedance of TPA6120A2 so as to lower the amp output impedance to the maximum level. The FiiO AM5 headphone Amplifier module is capable of ultra high current for highly dynamic musical performance and hardware level adjustable gain to cater to different headphones. Using the Screwdriver included in the accessories to unscrew the T5 screws and exchange the headphone amplifier module. Although protection circuits are installed on the X7 it is still recommended to turn off the unit before performing the module exchange. The FiiO AM5 unit comes in a metal protective box which will protect which ever amp you choose to store in there.
