The player has been made 15% lighter 12% smaller and more ergonomical with an improved button layout. Dual core CPU The X5ii utilises the Ingenics 4760B dual core 600MHz CPU. With its formidable processing power the X5ii supports all six major lossless music formats DSD APE FLAC ALAC WMA and WAV lossless music formats . This is the most complete set of supported formats to date among Hi Fi DAPs. With the X5ii music lovers need not worry about lack of format support or format conversion. The X5ii even decodes Apples proprietary ALAC format seamlessly. Native DSD128 Decoding The X5ii utilises an all new digital audio architecture and is able to decode native DSD64128 and directly play SACD ISOs. To avoid interpolating the DSD signal for volume control FiiO added Texas Instruments best analog volume controller PGA2311A ensuring the most faithful reproduction of DSD while avoiding issues with knob potentiometers such as channel imbalance and poor durability. Quality Parts The X5ii preserves the top flight PCM1792A DAC decoder from Texas Instruments that was used in the original X5 and couples it with two new OPA1652 OP AMPs with great dynamic performance and FET inputs for IV conversion realising extra low distortion 0.00005% and noise.
