The set include 3 probes with built in preamplifier covering the frequency range from lt1 MHz to approx. 3000MHz. The probe of the basic set HZ540 include one magnetic field probe, one electric field probe, and a high impedance probe HZ553. The probe power connector of HAMEG spectrum analyzers 2,5mm jack can be used as a supply 6V DC e.g. for HAMEG probes. The inner contact is 6V, the outer contact is connected to the instrument housing and thus with the measurement inputs ground potential and also protective earth PE.
