The work of contemporary artist TRXTR explores the darker side of human nature with powerfully seductive style. Using a mixed media approach, applying layer after layer of collage, photography and paint elements, TRXTR’s prints are mesmerising, thought provoking and poignant. Eccentric and esoteric, ‘Icarus’ Mechanical Daughter’ depicts a young woman arched in flight, lifted by metal wings. The style is fragmented and chaotic, the palette rich and high contrast, for an assault on the senses that speaks volumes dark and gritty, the print blends youthful innocence with sordid sexuality for a timely comment on the social and moral concerns of modern life.
