In 1962, nineteen vine growers from San Marzano, whose families had farmed the land for generations, combined their efforts to establish Cantine San Marzano. Over the years, this co operative has grown significantly, and today attracts over 1200 growers using modern and technologically advanced equipment. Today, these time honoured traditions meld with the passion and contemporary techniques, enabling the Cantine San Marzano to produce wines with distinctive varietal and regional characteristics, reflecting individual attention, seasonal variations and local terroir. The harvest of this 5050 SauvignonMalvasia, took place during the second and third weeks of August, with the grapes undergoing a cold maceration in the press for 6 8 hours followed by a gentle pressing, then fermentation at low temperatures 10°C to retain all the primary fruit aromas and freshness.
