Robin Doyle’s ‘Propaganda’ collection is inspired by the line between propaganda and PR. The artist explains ‘the media pushing these images has always fascinated me. They all boil down to a simple but powerful message ‘YOU are not good enough until you buy our productlifestyleideology’. This series of works mixes powerful images of the ‘superheroes’ of communist propaganda with corporate, capitalist iconography and an onslaught of colours designed to dazzle and attract. ‘Like flakes to a moth’.
