Andrew Millar works with a range of medias to produce a beautiful collage aesthetic in his contemporary prints. Layering gold and silver leaf over instant film, Millar’s pieces are soft and delicate, suffused with an intangible haunting quality and a vintage feel of times past. ‘Ring O’ Roses 24ct Gold Leaf Collage’ depicts the face of a woman in profile, a large, blossoming flower surrounding her head in a style reminiscent of 1920s portraiture.
