The company’s name comes from the Latin words Alma, meaning soil, and Cersius from Cers, the Roman god of wind that nourishes the harvest. Head winemaker Guillaume Bonzoms, an oenology graduate from the University of Montpellier, has 16 years heading up a cooperative team, distinguished himself by picking up many awards in that time. The Merlot for this wine was sourced from mature vineyards where the average vine age is over twenty years.
