Released only in the finest years, this field mix of 100 year old indigenous vines comes from the ancient, terraced, single Vinha da Ponte vineyard. The grapes are trodden in traditional stone troughs, or lagars, then transferred to an open top, stainless steel tank where the cap is regularly pressed down with robotic pistons. Fermentation takes place for a week in a temperature controlled environment. With a rich intensity, the dense yet elegant, ripe fruit aromas are given structure and back bone from maturation in new, French oak barrels. Drink from 2018 2030.
