2002 Margaux Cru Bourgeois 150cl Magnum

This has an enticing medium weight nose of fresh redcurrant and plum notes with a cool herbaceous edge. On the palate the wine has lovely weight with a sweet currant and berry fruit character. The oak adds a creamy layer to the fruit but is well integrated as are the fine sturdy tannins. This is a super wine for the vintage and one that will provide much enjoyment in the future. Drink now 2018.
