The units allow any one of four parameters to remains constant, voltage, current, power and resistanc. The FPGA based control circuit provides additional features like a function generator, a table based regulation circuit for the control of dynamic load profiles or the simulation of non linear internal resistances. An energy recovery mains backfeed function converts the supplied DC energy into a synchronous current and feeds it back into the local or public grid.
