This is a limited edition giclee reproduction of a 1929 Linocut. The original is based on sketches Power made in 1927 of the staircase at Russell Square Underground Station, London. Power trained as an architect before studying at the Grosvenor School of Art. Here he explores with fascinated detail, both the architectonic boldness of the staircase, but also the reflected light as, in geometric symmetry, it alternately illuminates and casts shadows on the walls of the stairwell. nbspnbspClick these words to find similar printsLimited Edition Giclee Britishnbsp
