This offset print by Californian art duo Kozyndan is printed on 80lb Cover Stock fine art paper.nbspThe image is of a wonderful hippie utopian landscape, bursting with kaleidoscopic colour and magical creatures. Little humans have been scaled down and dwarfed by the majesty of the habitat, with its mountains, ocean, forest, sand banks, river, various plants and animals.nbspThe central figure is a crossed legged child that is supposed to represent us all. The child is dreaming of a future California in which the inhabitants have returned to some sense of balance with the natural world. “We wanted to make a playful, trippy, nostalgic image revering the beautiful land that we have called home,” explain Kozyndan. This colourful paradise image was first created as a mural for the exhibition ‘Super Awesome Art and Giant Robot’ at the Oakland Museum of California in 2014. Over 17ft tall and titled ‘An Ode to California’, Kozyndan described the mural as “an emphatic, trippy appreciation of the grandeur of California”.nbspDiscover more in our blog postKozyndan Celebrate California!
