The plucky, bullet dodging Hochar family have been making ageworthy wines from vineyards high up in the Bekaa Valley which enjoys perfect growing conditions no frost or disease, cool winters and not quite scorching summers since 1930. Every vintage they truck freshly harvested Cabernet, Cinsault, Carignan, Grenache and Mourvèdre to their 18th century cellar in Ghazir, north of Beirut, to make this dense, fragrant, oaky style.
