The Pays du Gard is an area to the southern end of the Rhône Valley, nestling between Côtes du Rhône and the Languedoc, a location reflected in its wine styles. This wine is therefore a supple, Mediterranean influenced take on the classic Rhône red. A softly textured, ripe, plush Syrah full of blackcurrant and cherry fruit. Bolstered by hints of pepper and dark cocoa, the wine is nicely balanced, with a subtly saline finish. Ideal with lamb chops grilled with fragrant herbs.
