Although Chile has historically favoured other red varieties, the Central Valleys of Chile are becoming known as a home to some great value, high quality Syrah. This is a nicely balanced example, made with medium temperature fermentation and only partial oak maturation. Deep purple tinged ruby red, and showing intense aromas of blackcurrant, with hints of black pepper and spice. A juicy, fresh palate with taut yet forgiving tannins, and a soft finish. Enjoy with merguez sausage, seasoned lamb chops, or spaghetti and beef meatballs.
