Very deep garnet purple in color, the 2011 Shiraz Blue Eyed Boy offers a lovely, wild blueberries and black cherry compote nose with undercurrent of meat, chocolate, nuts, some violets, and a touch of licorice with a little coconut. Full bodied and generous, it is structured with low to medium levels of velvety tannins, a nice acid line and a long finish. Approachable now, it will drink to 2020. 91 points.
