‘West Pier Starlings –Blue Horizon’ is a striking three colour silkscreen print from contemporary artist Shane O Driscoll following the sell out of his previous collection of works. Shane O’Driscolls prints are fragments of his travels, as he likes to use imagery taken from his trips, which he distils down to a minimal graphic composition. This print features Brighton’s West Pier, a once highly popular pier, which attracted 2 million visitors between 1918 and 1919, which is now a beautiful skeletal structure, which has been ravaged by storms, arson attacks and decay, and unfortunately hardly any of it is left. Each piece is signed and numbered by the artist and from a Limited Edition of 25.
