What's The Story Morning Glory was released in 1995 and the album cover is one that a whole generation of music lovers will associate with a band at the height of their youthful powers. The iconic cover was shot on location in Berwick Street, Soho, by Michael Spencer Jones on 27th July 1995 at around 430am, and the street, though one of the busiest in London, was completely free of vehicles at the time of the shoot. The person seen to the left in the background is producer Owen Morris, holding the master tape of the newly finished album a magical moment in time.
