This image of John Wayne was part of the Cowboys and Indians, produced by Warhol in the 1980’s. He used is a publicity photo from the film The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance 1962. It was re work with Warhol’s usual silkscreen style. The red brown pallet of the figure is set off by the blue outline which is slightly offset to the image.
