In world where digital techniques proliferate, Vass’s hand drawn process meticulously sketching on a lightbox before filling his images with paint and ink is both refreshing and powerful. Depicting bright, colourful scenes, fuelled by utopian idealism, Vass’s work blends hand drawn, typographical elements with beautiful imagery for a bold aesthetic. ‘Moonlight Flamingos’ depicts four pink flamingos, paddling in moonlit waters against a great, glowing moon.
