Lytton Springs follows Ridge's traditional 'field blend' approach, whereby whereby the blend is a product of Zinfandel vines having been interspersed with other varieties, in this case around 20% Petite Sirah and 5% Carignan. These components endow the wine with a remarkably firm and age worthy structure, and a savoury muscularity to complement the backbone of cassis and blueberry fruit. Will reward cellaring of 5 10 years.
