Good red Burgundy is light in body but packed with the rich, warm flavours of red fruits and is particularly hard to find. We were more than delighted to find this great example made by an old friend of Adnams, Stéphane Brocard. Originally from Chablis and we still buy Chablis from his father and brother, we were excited to hear that Stéphane had moved south to the Côte d'Or and was producing good quality and great value Pinot Noir. He works with about forty individual domaines, nearly all of which are young adventurous wine growers who share his strong respect for the environment. He selects and blends the very best wines, and our tastings confirmed this and the Adnams Red Burgundy was born. This is a great partner to roast lamb or a slice of Suffolk ham.
